- 4-H is the largest youth development organization in America!
- 4-H is offered in partnership with the USDA, Ohio Legislature, Ohio State University and Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro and County Council.
- In Summit County we offer 4-H through traditional clubs, special events, our Equine Day Camp, and School Enrichment programs serving 3 systems and over 3,500 youth!
Join the Summit County Farm Bureau to learn more about this organization, started over 100 years ago in rural farm communities and now in every county in the USA. Jackie Krieger, 4-H Educator (we used to be called agents) and County Director and several 4-H’ers will present on what is happening in 4-H today. We think you’ll be both surprised and pleased.
4-H and agriculture don’t look like they did 100 years ago but youth development remains critical to our country and just as agriculture remains critical to everyone who eats. Let’s talk about how each supports the other.
