Did you know that we have three different membership classifications? We do! Active member, young active member (18-24 years of age), and community member.
To those of you who are community members, we know that over time your status may change.
With that in mind, we are reaching out to ask that since first becoming a member has your job, hobbies, or lifestyle changed that would now make you eligible to be classified as an ACTIVE MEMBER?
Examples of activities, pursuits, and occupations that would qualify you as an Active Member include, but are certainly not limited to:
– Bee keeping, owning livestock or farming
– Becoming involved in animal husbandry
– Inheriting land that is being farmed
– A new job in food processing, environmental stewardship/conservation, or agriculture
– And many more, please contact us for more information
Changing your membership from Community Member to Active Member will not impact your dues rates or your renewal date. Most importantly, your eligibility for discounts from our partners will also not change. The benefit of changing your membership is that you will start receiving more information and invitations to events that are pertinent to those in agriculture.
If you would like to change your status from a Community Member to an Active Member, please call our office at 330-456-4889 or email summit@ofbf.org. Anyone who contacts us by July 31st will be put into a drawing for a $50 gas card!
Thank you for your membership to Summit County Farm Bureau!
