The Summit County Farm Bureau was organized in 1921 for the purpose of “representing, promoting and protecting the business needs of farming and centralizing into a unit of strength the several county farm bureaus of the State of Ohio” and is guided by a Board of Trustees made up of twelve members of the organization. The officers of the county Farm Bureau are the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.
Our new president, Tim Walsh, was recently sworn in at our September 29th Annual Meeting by outgoing president, Andy Troutman. The president is charged with giving leadership to not only the board of trustees, but to the entire county Farm Bureau membership by working to develop a good relationship with county, state, and federally elected officials, agricultural and community organizations.
We would like to display/honor our presidents in our Antique Museum at the fairgrounds. Unfortunately, we have encountered a few gaps in our 97 year history. We were hoping that maybe you could help us fill in the blanks. Is there a senior member of your family that you will be spending time with over the holidays that could possibly help us complete the list?
