Summit County Farm Bureau is a grassroots, volunteer-driven organization. Our 100 year old organization is governed by a board of trustees who are all members committed to the mission and vision of the organization. Have you ever thought about learning more about getting involved in the organization but didn’t know where to start?
We have multiple opportunities for involvement that members can partake in. Some are on a “micro volunteer” level which may only involve a 1-2 hour commitment while others can be more time consuming. We welcome help in whatever form it comes in!
Here are a few opportunities in 2022 where we are seeking help:
- Farmer’s
Share Breakfast on March 12
- Minimal commitment opportunity– assist with cooking or serving breakfast on Saturday morning March 12 at Copley High School!
- Have a little more time to get involved? We would love to include you in our planning committee meetings that begin in January! The committee meets 2-3 times before the event and is responsible for securing donations and event logistics as well as set up and tear down.
- Summit
County Fair
- Minimal commitment opportunity – serve a shift at the SCFB Antiques Museum!
- Have a little more time to get involved? We would appreciate assistance from anyone willing to assist at fair workdays (typically have 1-2 throughout the year) as well as help coordinating work shifts during the fair.
- Family
Fun Night
- The SCFB board is currently considering options for the 2022 Family Fun Night. This event has varied over the years from outings to the zoo or ballpark to local dinners and game nights. We would welcome input and involvement from members!
If any of these opportunities interest you, please fill out this form so we can reach out to you in 2022!
